Matt Teager dominated Sunday’s race at the Grand Prix track in Crawley. He was easily fastest and lapped around six tenths faster than anyone else. His driving though was controversial, he was the best out there but seemed to feel that as everyone else was slower he had no qualms bumping them out of his way. It was this and a couple of yellow flag infractions that gave him three black flags over the event but he was still able to come away with the win.
The first round at Crawley saw Craig King come good having run to fourth in the Christmas race. His win and topping the two sessions put him comfortably top of the standings but he will not be able to defend his lead this time out. He is unable to attend and so this is the opportunity for others to catch up. Matt Teager returns having missed May and should be considered favourite due to his pace at Christmas.
the tracks
The race will again be taking place at Crawley on one of their two tracks.
So 12 races in how have things changed in my rankings over the past 9 races? The championship battle has gone back and forth between the major drivers but this is about pace against teammates and general ability (plus possibly some deductions based on whininess).
Last Sunday we had our first karting event of 2010 which also represents the first ever Talote Racing championship race (sad huh?). Information is going to be slightly short due to two things, first we had no-one to take photos and second we were not provided with any lap times barring our fastest as their printer was broken. We therefore had to just remember our fastest times
We turned up at the track and were led up to the second track (which we had never seen or raced before):
I figure it would make sense to a do an annual F1 driver rankings that my friends can comment on or reply with their own lists. This would also make it possible to have some idea of how drivers are doing from season to season.

I have followed the BTCC for a while. I am not sure I recall a time though when the grid was this healthy. Come the end of the 2009 season things were looking bleak for the series as the last of the manufacturer teams pulled out when Vauxhall had their funding removed. This weekend though will see 23 cars take to the grid in Thruxton as the thirty round (over ten events) season gets under way.
Top Gear was right even if it was meant solely to incite hatred in Alabama when they announced that ‘nascar sucks’.
This year I have again tried to watched the Daytona 500… For the first 120 laps of the race it held my interest and I thought it was an interesting thing to have on in the background while doing other things. I watched the 2009 race and they called it off for a small shower. That is wimpy and dumb, certainly I can see why the way nascar and indy car runs it would be near impossible to maintain in the rain. People are there to see a race not to see caution flags thrown because of a bit of rain or a driver losing a wing mirror…
You may or may not know that several months ago my friend Craig and I launched (well almost) our own hosting website. I’ll tell you more about that in another post in the future when we have finished tinkering. Part of that process meant signing up as being self employed, I thought that I’d take the opportunity to earn some extra funds and build websites for people in my spare time. Well the first of those websites has now been launched.
I thought a blog post would be a good place to explain why I like the sports people and teams that I do. The reasons are often illogical or slightly daft.
Denver Broncos
The strangest pick has to be why I support the Denver Broncos as my main NFL team. During the time that I have supported the team they have done approximately nothing of great worth nor have they had a great quarterback. Meanwhile the other NFL teams I like all have relatively sensible reasons (New Orleans: Rally after Hurricane Katrina that transformed them from one of the worst to one of the best teams, Seattle: Lofa Tatupu, Indianapolis: Peyton Manning, Baltimore: That defense). But no my support of Denver hinges on this:
I apologise for the ‘thats a huge bitch’ line at the beginning
So to the list of sporting achievements of the decade. Again by Trefor Little and again in no particular order here are the athletes who shone in their chosen fields.
