The morning in my case was spent building things, having got the tv stand and bedside table out of the way yesterday I had a shoe rack, big bookcase and shelf unit still to build. I managed to get the bookcase and shoe rack done by lunch time. Beth and I headed off on a trek to Sainsburys where we got our weeks shop and a bunch of household goods. The Sainsburys in Canterbury is huge and relatively close so I am happy. We had our first experience of a Canterbury bus as well, it cost 70p (beats London) and was almost empty. It also stops a hundred metres from our flat which makes it even more perfect. No idea how frequently they run though.
When we got back in and had put the shopping away I started alphabetizing our DVD’s they just about all fit on two bookcases which is also good. For lunch we went across the street to the American café where the Blomberg’s bought us burritos a couple of weeks ago. This time we had fajitas and nachos which came to £6 for both of us which isn’t bad at all. I reckon they are aiming for American style pricing and the food tastes pretty good so I support them.
After building the shelving in the afternoon I headed into town to buy some essentials and see if anywhere on the high street was advertising job vacancies, they weren’t which is annoying. More annoying is that I forgot my printer cable so if I am to hand in a CV anywhere I need to go to the library first. I did sign on there though and so I now have a Canterbury library card and free internet use whenever I am in town.
I got home and played Fifa and then had pasta with my wife. We then sat down and watched Devil Wears Prada and some Qi before going to bed quite early. Oh yeah, I nearly forgot to say, Beth and I have had our phoneline connected (internet has to wait another week) if you want our number then leave a comment and I will email it to you.
