Woke up this morning for the Turkish Grand Prix which wasn’t bad but wasn’t overly exciting either, Hamilton was very unlucky in getting a puncture that put him behind his slow teammate. It was a different type of service to the usual served up at London Road but it was not too grotesque. We went to Chipotle for lunch with some of Beth’s friends which was nice, its a cool restaurant and I would love it if it came to London. Possible being owned by McDonalds.
In the afternoon we had Beth’s party at which I was most in demand. I met lots of people, most of whom I have now forgotten and I think I made a good impression… more like hope I did. I enjoyed talking to Beth’s friend Ryan who seemed the only one who didn’t want to either congratulate and grill me or check out my accent. Everyone was gone by about 8pm and we all go early nights as we were worn out.

“grotesque”… now there is an interesting word for describing Sunday morning worship…
Really, there are quite a numbe of ways of expressing worhsip, my goodness!
Oh dear now you’ve done it. Do you know what grotesque actually means and was it the word you meant to use “comically or repulsively distorted, absurd?
I suppose with that definition it could be grotesque if you sang nothing but Spice Girls songs instead of hymns and the service was led by an elk! However, not even my Junior Church Anniversaries are that absurd (although the elk idea is a good one and I might use it next year if I could find a theological or doctrinal link).
I apologise Grotesque is not the word I was aiming for… I was aiming for nearer to unusual. No offence intended.
