This morning I had my first lesson of Producing Reality, the teacher being my tutor from last year and being a bit harder than Jeremy to understand. I get the feeling she knows her stuff however. It seems like a good module that I will start to enjoy more after the first few weeks (much like last semester). The problem this time is next week we have to give a 10min long pitch on an idea for a documentary. I have no idea how I am going to do this as we are also not allowed to have a proper interview in the documentary. I had a Panini for lunch and spent my break with Beth before heading back for a documentary called Sisters in Law. I was hoping it was going to be about nuns who double as lawyers but no it was about women lawyers in Cambodia. It was quite entertaining and reflects the style we are meant to take in our piece (again, why are we not allowed an interview). After my lecture I went to Beth’s and made her a curry before we both headed off to see Miss Potter in Kingston. It turned out to be a good film, I was worried it was just going to copy Finding Neverland but it didn’t. However it did lack the emotional pull that was evident in Finding Neverland. When I got home after dropping Beth off at Froebel I went straight to bed.
