Wii Post

Two months in and I must say I am impressed with the word of mouth on Nintendo’s console. I have not heard a word said against it. I feel this console (now I have one) is innovative and fun and would not pick an xbox360 or a ps3 over it. That said I have 1 or 2 problems with the pretty wii.
1) There has only been one game release since launch, this is soon to be rectified but Europe has been undercut quite poorly. The only game we have to show for ourselves is WarioWare. Over the next couple of months I will have a lack of cash due to the games available.
2) The onboard memory, 512mb memory is nicer than 8mb but this thing has to hold games as well. It won’t be long till it runs out. Nintendo could have fitted a decent 20gb hdd for £10 extra cost to the consumer. I would have paid the £10.
3) Online is slow, the shop while nice, takes too long to load as do news and forecast pages.
Now for the best bits:
1) The Mii channel, this is great fun, making cartoon representations of friends and family.
2) The shop channel, while we may be short of new games the system gets 4 games a week for download which is impressive especially as these include sonic, super mario bros and mario kart 64.
3) Zelda is amazing, the graphics are brilliant (as good as I could need in a game).
4) The Wiimote can be used as a computer mouse for your desktop
If you are after a wii do not rush the purchase due to the lack of games. I would however suggest doing so before June. The wii currently comes with a free internet channel, from June you have to pay for this. This is easily the best party console Wii Play is very good and well Wii Sports will keep a group entertained for a night very easily (I have spent many nights with friends just bowling). I think the games will come when the PS3 release is nigh so as to try to win over some more customers.
