I am finding it a bit tiresome always ending up falling behind on this blog at the moment however commitments are getting in the way. Working at Fulham, talking to a beautiful creature nestled across a rather large pond, finding time to read, watch films and watch tele. This blog and work on my screenplay have suffered which is not good and I think maybe priorities need to be redone… especially as I may end up spending lots of time on the new Madden game. Anyway I am now going to try and get website stuff done when I wake up in a morning instead of leaving it until silly times… any definitely not get three days behind again unless I end up somewhere with no net connection.

I got up at 6:30 this morning partly with the help with a parent and partly without. We left the house at 7:30 and caught the 8:30 ferry (I think). Today you see we went over to the Isle of Wight. On arrival we drove off of the ferry and went to a crafts shop called Oasis. We spent about an hour in there and spent rather a lot of money as well. It is a nice shop where you can easily spend a lot of time and money. When we were done in the shop we also made use of their café facilities. After our shopping trip we headed to the islands zoo which specialises in tigers. We had been there once before and it was still impressive looking at these big cats. The problem with big cats is they are like small cats in that they spend 95% of their time lying down. They also specialise in lemurs although the only lemurs we really saw were playing with a tortoise and a rabbit (who had tunnelled into the enclosure from the neighbouring one). As we were about to leave I got entranced by their monkeys. I don’t know which ones I was looking at but they were good fun and I stood there for ten minutes. I love monkeys and previously I had bought one in Oasis!

We deliberated in the car for a while after we’d left the zoo and Helen was done in the museum. We ended up deciding to go to Osbourne House where I’ve been before (there are few places on the small island I haven’t). Osbourne House was a favourite of Queen Victoria who even ended up dying there. We walked the grounds for an hour and a half and then got fish and chips watching the boats as we ate.

After the food we tried to get on an earlier ferry home but failed and so were first onto the next one. We got seats at the front of the boat and it was a good voyage. I slept for a good bit of the drive home but got to talk to Beth for a little when we got there. I sent her some pictures from the Isle of Wight before I went to bed strangely early again. It was a good day today and I am glad I agreed to go with my family.
