I was up this morning at 6am which luckily is my early limit. I played some fifa in the early morning and also read some more David Beckham. Basically the morning was lazy until I agreed to go into the Centre in the afternoon to talk about the website with Doug. After he invited me in I watched the Colin Farrell film The New World. I thought it looked like it might be a quite nice little film. It follows the tale of pocahontas but it terrible. It is so slow and has jump cuts for no reason, then it just feels like we’ve lost a 20min portion of film as Christian Bales character comes out of nowhere and woos her. It is daft and very poor filmmaking. The only positives I can draw are that it is visually pleasing with the locations found for shooting. Also the actors do a good job even with the confusion. This could have been better maybe with a better director.
After the film I headed into the centre and spent an hour in the office setting up the basic website. I decided to do it with frames and after a while also felt it best to continue it at home due to not having my editing tools installed. Oh well, its coming along quite nicely now and I am enjoying working on it when I get a chance. Currently I am waiting for it to become useful in October when their online shop is usable.
When I got home I just basically waited until I was able to go out with my father for a curry. We talked about our usual things over dinner for example the NFL and I enjoyed myself. The service as usual was excellent and we could have been out of their in an hour. After eating we went and talked to Craig for a little bit in the church as he was helping plan a concert which we explorer group will be doing. When I got home I talked to Beth for a wee while and then went to bed.
