I’ve decided to do this new thing. Every now and then I am going to write a little musing of a memory from my childhood, I do not plan to expand on them. People who comment might call me a fool but hey I don’t care. There are two blog entries below this which you probably haven’t yet read, just so you know.

When I was 6 and at Trafalger school they came around with these little slips of paper on which we were meant to draw a picture of ourselves to be transferred onto a tea towel. I guess my original attempt was very bad as the teacher came and told me off and I had to do another one. I ended up crying and that one was even worse, eventually I did one which they decided was ok. I’m not exactly sure what the point of the exercise was in the first place but I will cite that as the reason I have no faith in my drawings.

I can empathize with your childhood art trauma. I was asked to leave choir in elementary school I was so bad. To this day Craig will occasionally hiss at me in church “pick a key–ANY key–and stay in it!”

You drew a very lovely boy with his tongue sticking out for the Disaster Area warning on your door!
