Good Old Honda

This is my quest, to follow that star,
No matter how hopeless, no matter how far
To be willing to give when there’s no more to give
To be willing to die so that honor and justice may live And I know if I’ll only be true to this glorious quest
That my heart will lie peaceful and calm when I’m laid to my rest
And the world will be better for this
That one man scorned and covered with scars
Still strove with his last ounce of courage
To reach the Unreachable Star.
Good lyrics, not sure why they get their own blog post but I think that these lyrics from the new Honda advert have struck me. Anyway enjoy. for those who haven’t seen said ad its on the website for Honda!

Its from the Musical Man of La Mancha starring Peter O’Toole. Has been released by Elvis Presley and Luther Vandross (probably amongst others). The song is actually called “Impossible Dream (The Quest)”.
Man of La Mancha is a musical based on Don Quixote.
As I recall, the original words were a bit different–”to fight for the right without question or pause, to be willing to march into hell for a heavenly cause.”
Should we get philosophical about the loss of refernce to truth and the supernatural, or just chalk it up to being a Honda ad…?
(Hey, I like the part about loving pure and chaste from afar too
