I don’t know why but I reckon I have changed my sleep pattern recently. I managed the impressive time of 7:40 this morning. I still managed to take my time getting up though and didn’t leave my room until 10. I met Beth for breakfast. After eating we did seperate things for most of the morning until we had lunch after which we met Cathy downstairs to go swimming. For the first time we were not to be swimming alone. We made the walk to the pool and had a thoroughly good time splashing around (read that how you will).
After an hour and a bit we got out and got dressed again and made our usual walk around Putney. This time I managed to pick up a comedy show Craig loves called Googlewhack Adventure for £2.50 which was great. Beth picked up her new glasses which were in today and we got a smoothie. After this we looked for somewhere nice to eat that night as I was taking Beth out again. We found this nice tandoori restaurant (I made the slip of saying I was going on a hot date with Beth as I did not intend the pun, to Craig). Anyway we made our way back to Roehampton and got ready, we left and got to the restaurant at 7pm. The food was lovely. It is comparable to the indian tree in Horsham. The staff are not quite as nice but it was a very good meal. Will definately be going back there when we come back next year.
After our meal we got the tube into central London and went to Tower Bridge. I didn’t realise that standing in the middle of the bridge there is a small crack where you can look down and see the water. It was slightly scary for Beth but fun. We took some photos which will be up later. Being 1st June there was a big D-Day Dance on the HMS Belfast which sits proudly between London Bridge and Tower Bridge and so we were entertained by the music from it. We sat down in a couple of places and then went to the Monument for the great fire of London. I know I’ve seen it before but I couldn’t remember it and so was excited to see it. We got the tube from Monument back to Hammersmith and the bus to Roehampton. Or we would have if it wasn’t diverted. We had to take the detour round the back of some houses and we had to guess which stop was nearest Roehampton as the bus went along. I took a guess and got it slightly wrong I think I was one or two stops away from the pope mobile. I should probably explain, when we walk to sainsbury’s we sometimes take this route as its more scenic than wandering along Roehampton lane. On the corner of the road we come out of when we walk behind the hospital is a car that looks like the one the pope sits in. Luckily this vehicle was there last night and so we knew where to turn down. On arriving home we were both very sleepy and fell asleep at 1am.

D-Day is the 6th of June!
Maybe you should tell them that!
