I woke up at 8:10 just in time to hear my sister go off to school, I lay in bed for a bit before waking up and saying goodbye to my mother as she went off to work for the day, I went downstairs and got dressed and breakfasted. I finished packing and then read my new book “You Are Here” by Bremner, Bird and Fortunes. It’s a good book that is arguing against the governments of Britain and America. At about 9 the post arrived and our houses copy of the game “The movies arrived” myself and my father installed it and then we took turns trying it out, at first it didn’t seem to like my computer but we basically just turned all the setting to their lowest and it still looks good! He decided to let me bring it to uni with me to keep me amused, it will indeed do that but it may also distract me from my work. We left the house at 9:55 and headed to Horsham station with all my stuff. I bought my ticket and got the 10:20 out of Horsham. The train was making good time until towards the end of my journey it decided to develop a door malfunction which involved us having to wait 10mins at East Croydon and Clapham for the doors to open, why can’t we just have manual doors they’re so much easier and less likely to develop a fault. Eventually we got off the train at Clapham and I needed the toilet so found one and it had a pay barrier and I had no coinage, luckily it wasn’t working so I could just walk straight in. Found my way to platform 6 for the train to Barnes which arrived quickly getting me to Roehampton University for 11:40 which gave me time to tidy up my room.
I set up all my electrical equipment and got fully unpacked before I went down to see Cathy at midday, it was very good to see her again but I had to leave at 12:50 to go to chapel to see what I was up against when I do my reflection there next week. She gave a good talk which lasted 4mins in total, I think she was talking too quickly maybe! On leaving chapel and walking back to Lee House I was accosted by Risi who was having trouble with her printer (her brother dropped it) so I got the files off her comp and onto mine and printed it for her before taking a look at the printer which was deceased (Craig you might of been able to fix it but I didn’t know how).
I decided that now would be a good time to go to sainsburys for my food topup, so I made the walk for £9.05 of food and got back 50mins later. I now sat down and printed out my video production essay before writing in 15mins my treatment for the film, because I didn’t want to get the cover sheet wrong I went down to see Cathy to get her to make sure it was done right. It was but I think I managed to distract her for half an hour. I dropped my essays off in the box and so am now down to one essay, one exam and one reflection…. easy! Went up to my room and pretty much played the movies till 6:30 when I put my pie in, ate at 7pm and realised I hadn’t done yesterdays blog at 7:20 when Cathy was meant to be coming up so I hurriedly typed it up, she arrived late luckily and we went down the bus stop together to meet Maria for the film. The film started at 8:20 and we ended up getting to Putney far to early (7:50) so we walked up and back down Putney highstreet before taking our seats in the cinema at 10past. The film we were going to see was ‘The Producers’ I don’t know why it wasn’t very good, there were moments of greatness but generally it reeked. You could see that it should have been good, the acting was good I guess it must have been the direction, the first scene of two dragged out for far too long and caused 6 people to leave the cin eam. I’m glad I did sit it out as it improved from meagre to alright through it’s long two hours run time. After the film we stood waiting around for the bus in the cold for 15mins before it finally came Whisking us back to Roehampton, we went to Marias for sweets before I took Cathy home (she was a bit hyper on Minstrels), went to bed myself almost as soon as I got in my room.
